MySQLVault was an automatic way to dump a MySQL database, securely encrypt it using public/private keyed encryption, then securely store it off-site.

It was developed starting in June 2011 and released in August 2011.

It failed to gain significant transaction in the market and was permanently discontinued in December 2011.

MySQLVault was developed with Louisiana Department of Economic Development Tax Credits.
